In questa pagina puoi vedere il mio primo tentativo di costruzione di un'attrezzatura astronomica.
Si tratta di una montatura equatoriale utilizzata per scattare fotografie con un obiettivo normale (50 mm).
Come si può vedere, la costruzione è artigianale e tutt'altro che ottimizzata. Bisogna comunque considerare che è stata costruita nel 1983 con mezzi di fortuna.
All'epoca volevo scattare alcune foto del cielo ma gli inseguitori disponibili sul mercato erano eccessivamente costosi per le tasche di uno studente.
Decisi così di costruirmi da solo quanto desideravo.
In ogni caso l'attrezzatura ha funzionato secondo quanto mi aspettavo: sono riuscito ad ottenere foto con le stelle puntiformi con esposizioni di alcuni minuti.
Ora te la descrivo.
In this page you can see my first attempt of building an astronomic equipment.
It is an equatorial mount built to take pictures with a lens (50 mm).
As you can see, it is a home made construction and it is anything but optimized.
However you have to consider that it has been built in 1983 with makeshifts.
At that time I wished to take some sky pictures but the mounts available on the
market were too expensive for me.
So I decided to build it by myself.
The mount worked as I expected: I was able to take pictures with
good images of the stars with exposures of some minutes.
Now I'll describe to you.
È realizzata di alluminio ed ottone (le viti). Poichè disponevo solo di piattine da 40x3 mm, per realizzare alcune parti larghe ho dovuto montarne due strati incrociati.
It has been built by aluminium and brass (the screws). As I had 40x3 mm metal strap
only, I had to cross two layers to build large parts.
Analogamente per irrigidire i bracci della montatura e la base ho dovuto imbullonare degli angolari realizzando così delle nervature. Quattro tiranti irrigidiscono l'accoppiamento tra i bracci ed il loro supporto.
Likewise to stiffen the arms and the base I had to bolt some angle bars to
make the stiffening ribs . Four bars stiffen the coupling between the arms and
the base.
Il supporto per la macchina fotografica montato sull'asse di declinazione è munito di più fori in modo da poter garantire un corretto bilanciamento anche in presenza di obiettivi diversi dal 50 mm.
Tutta la montatura viene fissata ad un robusto cavalletto fotografico.
The declination axis camera mount is drilled in more places to guarantee the balancing even with other lenses than the 50 mm one.
The whole mount is fastened over a strong photographic tripod.
Gli accoppiamenti tra gli assi (da 4 mm) e le parti non cilindriche sono stati realizzati utilizzando delle ruote del
"Meccano".
The coupling between the axes (4 mm in diameter) and the other parts are made
by "Meccano" wheels.
Per quanto riguarda il motore ho utilizzato un Crouzet sincrono da 3 W, del tipo utilizzato nei timer delle lavatrici, accoppiato ad un riduttore che permette di ottenere in uscita un giro al giorno.
L'alimentazione elettrica è fornita da un alimentatore autocostruito in grado di generare 220 V a 50 Hz (stabilizzati tramite un quarzo) a partire da 12
V in continua.
For the motor I used a 3 W syncronous Crouzet, similar to the one used for
the washing machines timer. It is coupled with a reduction gear to obtain one
turn a day.
The power supply is based on a 50 Hz quartzed oscillator that gives 220 V a.c.
from 12 V d.c.
L'accoppiamento tra la base e la parte girevole è dato da un grosso cuscinetto a
sfere, opportunamente sgrassato per diminuire l'attrito.
The coupling between the base and the rotating part has been made by a big
ball bearing with the grease taken off to reduce the friction.
Qui sotto puoi vedere un esempio di foto ottenuta con la montatura sopra descritta. La zona inquadrata è quella di Cassiopea. È stata scattata il 5
novembre 1983 con un obiettivo Pentax da 50 mm f/1.7 su diapositiva Kodak da 400 ASA (eh già, all'epoca non c'erano ancora gli ISO!) con 3 minuti di esposizione. Si nota una marcata vignettatura dovuta all'obiettivo.
Here below you can see an example of picture taken with the mount which I've spoken
about. The
subject is Cassiopaea constellation. It has been taken on November 5th,1983
with a 50 mm f/1.7 Pentax lens on a 400 ASA Kodak slide with 3 minutes
of exposure.
You can notice the lens vignetting.
